Sharon is a passionate and caring physiotherapist who believes in a holistic approach to health care. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia, she completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Melbourne in Australia. Sharon has worked with patients from all age groups to assist with their rehabilitation regarding their sporting, work and day-to-day activities in a variety of health care settings ranging from private practice, sports teams, hospitals to community care. She has also gained clinical teaching and research experience in the field from her role as an associate professor at Shanghai University of Sport.
Sharon has a special interest in pelvic floor physiotherapy having completed post-graduate training in pelvic floor rehabilitation, and can help with a variety of pelvic floor conditions including incontinence, pregnancy/post-partum conditions, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse and lumbopelvic pain. She has also received certifications from APPI (The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) in clinical Pilates (mat and reformer based) for helping patients recover through active rehabilitation.
Sharon’s passion is helping people by empowering them with the knowledge that will improve their quality of life and help them in achieving their personal goals. She utilizes a variety of skills ranging from manual therapy to exercise and education to achieve this. Additionally, she has gained further credentials in acupuncture and dry needling.
Sharon is fluent in English and Mandarin. Aside from practicing physiotherapy, she enjoys being active and loves music. You can find her in the gym or outdoors in her spare time!
