
Emily (she/her) is an experienced physiotherapist with a practice focused on pelvic health and orthopaedic physiotherapy. Since obtaining her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Toronto, Emily has worked as a physiotherapist in Toronto, Washington state, and Vancouver in public and private practice - including intensive care, emergency, neurological and geriatric settings. She has experience working with clients with a wide variety of clinical conditions, at various points of their rehabilitation and recovery journey. Furthermore, she has specialized experience working with prenatal and postpartum clients to help manage their core and pelvic floor health.
Emily has furthered her professional education by taking courses in acupuncture (from Acupuncture Canada), assessing and treating female and male incontinence (including conditions such as interstitial cystitis, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, dyspareunia, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain and more), cesarean birth preparation and recovery, in addition to pregnancy rehabilitation (preparing for labour and pushing, pelvic girdle pain, and diastasis rectus abdominis management). She has also undergone training in trauma and pelvic health, bowel and bladder treatment in clients with neurological dysfunction, as well as the McKenzie approach to treating and assessing low back pain, soft tissue release, and prenatal/postpartum fitness.
Outside of work, you can find her volunteering for a Toronto-based cat rescue organization, playing a variety of sports (tennis, basketball, golf, volleyball), and going to comedy shows. Emily is fluent in English and Korean.
