Serah graduated with Honours from the University of Alberta’s Physical Therapy program in 2000 and has accumulated over two decades of diverse clinical experience. She began her career at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital in Edmonton and at WCB/Millard Health, where she specialized in acute care, occupational rehabilitation, and repetitive strain injury programs. Following this, she spent more than ten years at a renowned manual therapy clinic in Toronto’s Yorkville area, honing her expertise in hands-on treatment techniques.
A strong advocate for lifelong learning, Serah has completed extensive post-graduate training in McKenzie therapy, medical acupuncture, and Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS). She holds a Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). With over 20 years of experience in treating persistent myofascial pain through IMS, she has developed a particular focus in this area. Additionally, Serah is a skilled pelvic health physiotherapist, treating both men and women for conditions such as incontinence, pelvic pain, ano-rectal disorders, and pre- and post-natal pelvic dysfunction. She has been invited to speak to physicians and staff at North York General Hospital on pelvic floor physiotherapy. Serah currently serves as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist at the Rapid Assessment Clinics for Low Back Pain.
Beyond her clinical practice, Serah has volunteered with the Ontario Physiotherapy Association, the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and as part of a medical missionary team in Cambodia. She also served as a volunteer physiotherapist for the 2001 World Track and Field Championships and has been a guest speaker at Running Room's Learn to Run clinics.
In her personal life, Serah is a proud hockey and volleyball mom, actively supporting her son and daughter in their U18 AAA hockey and U13 Venom Fangs volleyball teams. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and staying active in their busy lives.
